The Darkest Voyage

The sun en-gulped
by the darkness.
The riches 
dominated the powerless.

The nature, the air, 
the resources consumed,
Materialism and 
its noxious smoke fumed

The mesmerizing music 
and divine symphony,
Overpowered 
by the loud rap 
and its cacophony

The rites and rituals 
taken over by the 
modern lifestyle,
Traditions and ceremonies 
are away many miles

The God, the Almighty 
is forgotten now, 
Money is the supreme ruler 
to whom we bow

Humans are turning into robots 
with no emotions 
and feelings,
And here we stand 
superciliously satisfied 
and fulfilling.
